Hey, I’m Jennifer— the creative hands (and stubborn heart) behind Bee Jay Dub Creations.

I didn’t plan on becoming an embroiderer—but grief, love, and a little thread had other ideas.

When my grandmother, Mary Akers, passed away in 2002, my dad gave me her old Babylock Esante ESi-2 embroidery machine. I didn’t know the first thing about how to use it. But I had just become a first-time mom, and something about that machine felt like a little piece of her was being passed to me—like she still had something to teach me.

That same Christmas, my mother-in-law gifted me a sewing machine. I took it as a sign. I started teaching myself to sew, quilt, and machine embroider—one late night, one tangled bobbin, one “oops” at a time. The very first thing I ever made? A quillow (pillow + quilt) for my grandma’s funeral. I didn’t know it then, but that project would change everything.

🪡 Stitching Becomes Storytelling

What started as a way to process my grief quickly turned into something bigger. I discovered a passion for creating with meaning. I wasn’t just stitching fabric—I was stitching stories, memories, jokes, tributes, and sometimes even a little healing.

Over time, Bee Jay Dub Creations was born—named after mine and my husband's initials, and the legacy I carry forward.

Now, I create custom patches, apparel, and accessories that are made with soul and stitched to last. Whether it’s a memorial patch for someone you miss, a tote that makes you laugh out loud, or a collar tag for your dog that makes people smile, I’m here for the ideas that matter. Because I believe custom shouldn’t be fancy—it should be personal.

I take on every project like it’s my own. I’m a perfectionist (a kind one), I obsess over details, and I never compromise on quality.

I love working with customers who trust me to bring their ideas to life—but the real magic happens when you give me room to dream alongside you. My favorite projects are the ones where I get to pour my creativity into something unexpected, meaningful, or just plain fun.

If you want cookie-cutter or mass-produced, I’m probably not your girl. If you want something with heart, intention, and just the right amount of sparkle? Pull up a chair. You’re in the right place.

I believe in showing up with integrity, creating things that last, and building a community where people feel seen. I believe creativity is a gift—and it’s even better when shared. And I believe you deserve to feel proud of what you wear, gift, and show off.

In 3 to 5 years, my dream is to build a thriving, family-run business with my husband and kids by my side—making embroidered pieces that feel essential, not extra. Stuff that lasts. Stuff that means something.
